It’s finally that time of year – people are spending again, shoes are starting to go quicker off the shelves, and it’s getting warm outside. The winter slump is over! There is lots of opportunity to make a big profit this time of year, so here is a guide on how to go about preparing for resale success this summer.
The summer is a pretty good time to resell no matter what way you do it. Younger people are out of school, people are traveling, and a lot of people are outside (you have to look good when you finally get outside, right!?) So even if you weren’t to change a thing about the way you resell, you would probably still see a pick-up in business. With that being said, here is how you can take your game to the next level:
- Stock up on classics – Think about if you were going on a trip to Europe or Miami for the summer – you’re going to need some good shoes for the trip. These kinds of people are going to be a lot of your summer business. Obviously Pandas have been flying off the shelves, but Adidas Sambas, Yeezys, and even Nike Blazers are great for the summer as well.
- Light color summer – The hotter it is, the more lighter colors are used in fashion. Maybe instead of buying Thunder 4’s, you get some Pine Green 4’s. These go better with shorts and fit the overall summer vibe better (take this with a grain of salt, because the Bred Reimagined 4s are the best seller right now on Copyt. A good pair is a good pair, this is just a fallback).
- It’s okay to sell for lower profit – Quantity picks up in the summer. This piece of advice always applies, but it’s okay to sell for a loss or a lower profit. The most important thing during the summer (when quantity is high) is that you’re keeping your inventory moving. One pair won’t kill you, and your Sell Price may drop at the end of the summer.
- Stay up to date – We shouldn’t have to tell you this, but make sure you’re keeping up with the drops. Everybody loves a summer drop, so there’s going to be a lot of new pairs/restocks. Make sure you’re ready for that.
- Stay organized – This one is more logistical, but when things are busy, you’ll wish you organized yourself in the winter. If you haven’t already, find a good way to keep your inventory organized, double check over what you have, and make sure you’re ready for a sprint of a summer.
We hope this helps you when you’re preparing for resale success this summer and you have a summer full of bangers and high profits. We’re really excited, and all signs are pointing to this summer being a good one in resale. Keep grinding, and seriously, stay organized. It’s easy.
