✅ Be Like Nike

Nike’s future in sneaker resale has been a topic of conversation for years now. Some believe that Nike is doomed and has already fallen off, others believe Nike is the best it’s ever been. Wherever you are on this spectrum, you’re in the right place, because we have the numbers to dive deeper. Let’s get into it.

UBS Evidence Lab recently reported that Nike footwear prices in the secondary market rose 6.8% in January, reflecting the fourth consecutive month of growth and a $9 growth in average last sale price from January 2025 to January 2026 ($133 to $142). Obviously, this is a good sign for Nike as secondary market sale price increasing is a strong indicator of brand momentum, but let’s go one step further.

In January 2025, the average retail price of Nike sneakers released was ~$171. In January 2026, the average retail price was ~$161. That means that in 2025, Nike sneakers were retailing for $171 and reselling for $133, losing $38 in value. In 2026, this gap halved to only $19, dropping from $161 to $142. Nike is retailing sneakers for cheaper than last year, and those sneakers are reselling for more than last year. This is incredible news for resellers.

Furthermore, on Copyt, our users have seen a steep increase in Nike products sold. Nike product sales from August to December 2025 are almost double what they were from August to December 2024.

The slander that Nike received in its post-Dunk slump was deserved, but the brand has rebounded strongly and proven that they are here to stay.

🏀 Curry For 3

After his breakup with Under Armour, Steph Curry has allegedly narrowed down to three options for his new deal, and ANTA is one of the contenders. Curry’s fellow Splash Brother Klay Thompson is signed with ANTA and Kyrie Irving is the Chief Creative Officer of the brand.

💸 All-Star Weekend Cashout

The Fragment x Union x Air Jordan 1 High ‘White/Black’ was the best-selling sneaker after NBA All-Star weekend, selling for 363% over retail ($949).
