The adidas Samba has been around for a very long time – since 1949 to be exact. They were designed to be a shoe to combat icy soccer pitches initially, but grew in popularity after the 1950 World Cup.
In their many years of success, adidas is estimated to have sold 35 million pairs of Sambas. This begs the question, has adidas exhausted their market? Is there anybody left who still wants Sambas? Well, based on a few factors, yes, people still want them.
According to Google Search data, interest has never been higher:

Despite the astronomical sales data that adidas has already achieved, Sambas should continue to grow.
Geographically, Google Searches for ‘adidas Sambas’ are by far the highest in Washington, D.C., with New York and California following behind. This leaves stores in the midwest United States as well as the southeast with less demand for the Samba:
