What To Know About Reselling Apparel – Summer 2024

As sneaker resale continues to grow, the apparel that goes with it also continues to grow. Supreme, Sp5der, Arc’teryx, and Fear of God are some of the biggest names in apparel right now, and can often be found in sneaker stores. This is your guide to reselling apparel alongside your sneakers for Summer 2024 – what to stock up on, what trends to follow, and what brands are on the come-up.

Fear of God

In 2023, Fear of God kept its top spot in apparel resale (according to StockX’s annual report). This was its second year at the #1 spot after dethroning Supreme in 2022. Supreme, Nike, Cactus Jack, and Bape rounded out the top 5 most-traded apparel brands on StockX.

Fear of God has performed well, obviously, but its time as #1 may be over soon. There has been more and more chatter recently about Fear of God’s downfall, with lots of reports of letters peeling and the brand losing its “luxury” feel now that lots of people are wearing it. Keep this in mind if buying products in bulk, but for now, Fear of God is still selling very well.

Supreme

Year in and year out, Supreme is a top-dog in apparel. They are not a trend anymore, they are a pillar of streetwear. Supreme was the second-most traded apparel brand last year, and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Additionally, the Air Force 1 x Supreme collaboration has been a smash hit, keeping the brand top-of-mind for consumers. It’s hard to imagine apparel without Supreme, their clothes, and their shoes. Keep buying.

Sp5der, Corteiz, & Represent

Three of the fastest-growing apparel brands of 2023, Sp5der, Corteiz, and Represent are each solidifying themselves in streetwear right now. Each company had huge growth last year (Represent grew 361%, Corteiz grew 113%, and Sp5der grew 145%) and have had great years this year. These guys are the newcomers to apprel resale, so keep your eyes on them and stock up if you can.

Outdoor Performance Clothing

Arc’teryx trades grew 186% last year on StockX, and the company is certainly another to watch out for. They bring in a new style to streetwear, focusing more outdoor performance wear. This style is growing in the fashion world, and another brand to watch out for is Acronym. Nike and Acronym have teamed up on a lot of clothing, and Acronym’s future is promising. The North Face also continues to provide reliable, fashionable outdoor performance wear.
