Prepare

Select items in Copyt and generate a Bulk Upload File. Upload this CSV to Whatnot before your stream.

Go live on Whatnot and sell your items. When done, download the Live Stream Report from Whatnot.

Initial setup (one-time)

Before your first stream, enable the Whatnot integration in Copyt.

Navigate to Platforms

Log into your Copyt Enterprise account and go to Platforms from the main menu.

Enable Whatnot

Find the Whatnot platform card and click Enable. This activates the integration.

You're ready!

The Whatnot platform is now active. You can now prepare inventory for streaming.

STEP 1

Prepare: Create Bulk Upload File

Select items from your Copyt inventory and generate a CSV file to upload to Whatnot before streaming.

Add items to your inventory

Make sure all the items you want to stream are logged in your Copyt inventory with accurate details.

Select items to stream

From the Unlisted tab, check the boxes next to all items you want to include in your Whatnot stream.

💡 Pro Tip: Use filters to quickly find items by brand, size, or category.

List multiple to Whatnot

Click Options → List Multiple → Select Whatnot

Choose listing type

Select your preferred format:

  • Auction - Items sold to highest bidder
  • Buy It Now - Fixed price items
  • Giveaway - Free items for engagement

Submit and download file

Click Submit, then go to Platforms page and click DOWNLOAD on the Whatnot card.

This generates a CSV file formatted for Whatnot's bulk upload system.

Upload to Whatnot

In your Whatnot seller dashboard, upload the Bulk Upload File you just downloaded from Copyt.

Your items are now loaded and ready for your stream! 🎉

STEP 2

Stream: Go live and sell

Go live on Whatnot as usual. Your pre-loaded inventory is ready to showcase and sell.

During your stream

  • All your items from Copyt are listed and visible to buyers
  • Stream normally—showcase products, run auctions, sell items
  • Whatnot tracks all sales and buyer information automatically

Go to your Whatnot seller dashboard

Navigate to Reports or Stream History

Download the Live Stream Report (CSV file)

STEP 3

Reconcile: Update inventory automatically

Upload the Live Stream Report to Copyt and watch your inventory update in real-time.

Go to Platforms in Copyt

Navigate back to the Platforms page in your Copyt dashboard.

Upload Live Stream Report

Click UPLOAD on the Whatnot platform card and select the Live Stream Report CSV you downloaded from Whatnot.

Enter stream details

Fill in any required details about your stream (date, revenue totals, etc.)

Proceed and watch the magic ✨

Click PROCEED and Copyt will:

  • Mark all sold items as Sold
  • Update sale prices automatically
  • Calculate profits/losses
  • Update financial analytics
  • Keep unsold items as Listed for future streams

Your inventory is now perfectly synced. All sales recorded. Analytics updated. Ready for your next stream.

Pro tips & advanced features

Master these features to maximize your Whatnot workflow efficiency.

Bless the Chat

For 'Buy It Now' listings, check the "Bless the Chat" checkbox and add a note. The Whatnot listing will show "Blessing the chat with [your note]" while Copyt keeps the actual product name for proper reporting.

Example: "Blessing the chat with exclusive kicks" appears on Whatnot, but "Jordan 1 Chicago" stays in your Copyt records.

Grouping Items

Whatnot groups items by Internal SKU. To bulk list multiple quantities of the same variant as one listing, enable the "Uniform" toggle when adding items.

Note: Only variants with identical Brand, Name, SKU, Size, Buy Price, List Price, and Location can share the same Internal SKU.

Sub Locations

Tag items with specific warehouse locations (e.g., "A3" for Section A, Shelf 3). When you export to Whatnot, the listing description includes "(Staff Note: A3)" so it appears on packing slips.

Benefit: Makes fulfillment faster—your team knows exactly where to find each item.

Automatic Analytics

After reconciliation, Copyt automatically calculates profit/loss per stream, updates your financial dashboard, and tracks which items perform best on Whatnot.
